I finished gluing the remaining brackets today without any issues. I had some leftover strip wood, so I started trimming the back edges of the dollhouse. Since I didn't have enough materials, the pictures show a comparison between the trimmed and untrimmed floor edges.
Now, it's time to begin shingling. As I mentioned earlier, I will use templates for this process because shingling directly on the angled roof would be very challenging due to the small size of the shingles. Today, I managed to shingle the two front roof sections. I plan to finish the rest tomorrow. The completed sections are laid out but not glued down yet. I need to stain them and let them dry outside in a well-ventilated area since I'm using a mixture of stain and polyurethane.
Avoid using hot glue for attaching your templates, as it can create bumps and dries too quickly. You need time to position everything properly. Instead, use tacky glue and apply it evenly across the entire section, especially along the edges, to prevent the template from lifting. Overall, shingling the dollhouse took about three days.
