Assembling the porch of this dollhouse is very simple. Just make sure to finish each part before installation, and it will fit easily without any struggle. Ensure that your door and windows are completely finished before putting on the porch, as it can be a tight fit.
I had the shop signs reprinted on cardstock at an office supply store. You can choose any color you like, but I opted for white because it looks authentic. You can also customize the signs on your computer to display any name you prefer instead of "Brimbles." Simply scan the signs, edit the text using photo editing software, save the changes, and print them out. If the dollhouse will be frequently handled or if children are around, consider laminating the signs to protect them from damage and make clean-up easier. While working on the dollhouse, use a piece of the plastic wrap from your windows and masking tape to cover the signs, preventing any paint or glue from damaging them.
I painted the roof sides with a base coat of light brown because I plan to shingle the dollhouse without templates.
