I started assembling the walls and floors of the dollhouse. Since everything is accessible, I can work on it continuously without pausing to finish any specific area.
I paused just before adding the bay walls and the third floor. I used tacky glue to secure the pieces together and clamped them tightly with masking tape. It's important to ensure that all joints are tight and edges are flush. All tabs should fit completely into their slots. The dollhouse has large slots, so I didn't need a mallet, but if you're having trouble, you can gently tap the tabs into place. The main goal is for everything to fit snugly together.
Many beginners worry about warped wood, uneven surfaces, or leaning walls. Don't be concerned at this stage; the dollhouse will feel wobbly until all parts are assembled. As long as all tabs are in their slots and joints are tight and flush, you shouldn't encounter any issues. The roof will provide stability and straighten everything out.
Before leaving the assembly, double-check that everything is secure. Ensure all pieces are clamped in place and allow them to dry completely. Once dry, remove the clamps and apply wood glue to every joint. You may need to turn the dollhouse on its side or upside down to reach all joints. Let it dry overnight before proceeding.
After the shell dried, I installed the bay windows, starting from one end and working my way along. This part is straightforward. Next, I added the long narrow wall between the left side wall and the left bay window. Although the schematics indicate this wall should be on 'Sheet 15', it is actually a separate piece included in the kit. The instructions mention this, but it can be confusing since it’s not on any sheet; just remember it's a loose piece in your kit. Clamp everything again to ensure a flush fit.
Then I added the third floor, which is also easy to install. This dollhouse doesn’t have "slide-in" floors that require angling or hammering for a secure fit; instead, the floors sit directly on top of the walls with tabs fitting into slots. Again, clamp everything and let it dry before applying wood glue to all joints and allowing them to dry overnight.
