I completed the shingled templates for the front of the dollhouse, stained them, and glued them on. The only challenging part was the small triangular sides of the porch. They were too tiny for templates, so I glued the shingles directly onto that section of the roof.
There was a tiny hole at the top where the shingles from the main porch roof and the triangle met, but I filled it with wood filler, making it invisible on both sides. I need to wait for the stain to dry before doing any touch-ups.
I think the green shingles really enhance the color of the dollhouse. The only remaining tasks are adding shingles to the back, installing finials, and putting on roof trim. I plan to finish the interior floors before starting on those.
