The Rosedale Dollhouse Day 5

After priming the walls and allowing them to dry overnight, I continued assembling more walls. So far, no pre-wallpapering has been necessary before assembly.

I encountered an issue with the left front wall, which was incorrectly cut. The slots didn't align with the floor tabs, though the sides matched perfectly with the side walls. This problem may occur in earlier laser-cut kits, but Greenleaf Dollhouses is aware of it and offers free replacements. I chose to fix it myself by cutting off the floor tabs.

In addition to wall assembly, I completed the staircase trimming, adding posts and banisters. The posts were laminated over the corner posts to enhance thickness and dimensionality. I also installed the bathroom door with its trim and the kitchen door trim. For the bathroom door, I added crystal doorknobs by creating starter holes, applying glue, and tapping in the knobs. When installing the second knob, I placed the door on a roll of masking tape to prevent wobbling and positioned it slightly off-center to avoid interference.

Lastly, I repaired some wallpaper areas that were damaged during the second floor installation.
