By morning, the roof had completely dried. I removed the masking tape and performed some paint touch-ups on the dollhouse. The gable trim was painted white and attached to the dollhouse, positioned somewhat centrally rather than flush against the wall or roof edge. One side of the gable roof will display extra notches that would have been used if the dollhouse were designed as an addition. These notches can be easily concealed with shingles, so they aren't a concern.
The dollhouse lacks a back foundation piece, leaving an open area beneath the first floor when viewed from the rear. To ensure a polished appearance, I painted the underside of the foundation.
I crafted baseboards for the first floor using skinny sticks and trimmed the back edges of the walls and floors. Additionally, I used skewers to trim the ceilings and second floor.
