I completed painting the underside of the foundation today.
The next steps require strategic window placement. Not all windows can be installed immediately due to wallpapering and exterior painting requirements. Some windows must be inserted now to ensure accessibility during assembly.
Wall assembly began by using tacky glue, which prevents dripping on vertical surfaces. Clamps were used to secure walls, and the slot and tab connections fit smoothly. I installed all possible walls before the second floor, ensuring they were completely dry before applying pressure.
While the walls dried, I carefully punched out the numerous window parts. To prevent loss, I labeled each piece according to the schematics, organizing them by room and location. I stored the parts in envelopes for safekeeping.
I prepared the second floor by painting the ceiling white and drawing wood planks on the floor side. After several hours of drying, I primed the first-floor walls and painted the window openings to prevent raw wood from showing when windows are glued.
I marked the walls to define room boundaries, which will help during wallpapering. The dining and living rooms are connected, with only the staircase separating them. When choosing wallpaper, consider that the front door wall can be finished differently, and you'll need multiple sheets to cover the large area.
