I am still working on the attic. I finished installing the last piece of the roof, which is a small part that covers the final opening at the back. I painted it white on the inside, and there's no need to wallpaper it since it's hardly visible. However, be sure to paint it to match your interior trim.
I added trim to the bottom joint of this piece inside, and the sides need spackling to hide any gaps. For the joints where two trim pieces meet, I used wooden caps. I also added dowels to the ceiling joints for extra support and to conceal any visible gaps.
Additionally, I installed a special trim along the roof eaves a few inches from the edge. This trim prevents the acrylic back cover from falling inward when applied in the attic. I highlighted it in one of the photos below, and I installed it on both gables. As you can see, it took a lot of custom trim to make the attic look nice, but there is still more work to do.
