Now that I have finished the kitchen and back sides, I am moving on to the front side, which is more challenging and took a week to complete. I chose to side the tower with a mix of siding strips and shingle strips, using wooden dowels for the joints between the tower walls. This not only strengthens the tower but also enhances its appearance. I completed this before adding the porch roof, which required some sanding in certain areas to ensure a proper fit, as the skewers added extra thickness to the tower.
I have reached the point where I can install all the tower windows. I will continue working on the tower top when I start on the third floor. Before applying the lattice over it, make sure to paint the porch base black so it looks hollow underneath the dollhouse.
Overall, I followed the instructions closely, with the porch posts being the only challenging part. The instructions for their placement were unclear. Just remember to frame the porch railings with all of the porch posts and trim.
