The inside edges of the doorways need to be sanded, spackled, sanded again, and then painted to ensure they look smooth from the hallway.
I completed the fireplaces with the mantels and hearth floors. I also added baseboards made from strip wood to the floors.
It required a lot of spackle and careful paint touch-ups to make everything look nice.
