I assembled the dollhouse shell today, following the detailed instructions and excellent illustrations. You shouldn’t have any trouble putting it together.
You might wonder about the scale. As you add more walls, the interior space gets smaller, which could make you question how to finish it. While it may be tempting to complete the interior before assembly, resist that urge. The small space is still accessible, and finishing the interior after assembly will give it a neater and more professional appearance. Since the dollhouse is lightweight, you can easily turn it to reach different sides for better access to the walls and ceilings.
Even though the dollhouse is small, don't skip any steps in assembling the shell. Make sure to apply wood glue to all joints for stability, just as you would with a larger version. If it's difficult to spread the glue with your fingers, use a stiff bristle paintbrush. Assemble the shell up to the roof, then stop.
