These half-scale versions are assembled just like the one-inch scale models, so you can use this assembly blog to build the one-inch scale dollhouse. The half-scale, laser-cut dollhouse kits come wrapped in plastic instead of a box, along with instructions. As a result, there won't be a kit box photo as a visual guide, but you can still find detailed photos of the assembled dollhouse here.
The parts for this dollhouse are small and fragile, so be careful when removing them from the sheets. You can use the eraser end of a pencil to push them out, but I find that using my fingernails works best, even if it can be uncomfortable over time. As with the one-inch scale dollhouse, label all your parts in pencil before removing them and sort them by component. This will make it easier to manage and store these small pieces compared to the larger one-inch scale parts. I need to double-check this later, but I believe there is one riser and one step missing from the sheets. They weren't lost; they were never included in the die cuts.
This laser-cut dollhouse differs from the original in that the window mullions are part of the wood sheet rather than being silk-screened onto acetate window panes. While this adds a nice detail, it means that one riser and one step were supposed to be included with the window punch-outs. Since there are no punch-outs for the windows due to the mullions, those pieces are now missing. As I continue with the assembly, I'll confirm whether my initial observation about the missing riser and step is correct.
