The Aster Cottage Dollhouse Day 7

Today, I added the exterior and interior trim for the windows and doors, along with the fireplace mantel and the railing for the upstairs. Assembling the staircase is quite straightforward; it’s a simple process without any complex features. I also put together the bay window, which was easy to assemble. The only challenge was the bay roof. It might be helpful to secure it with glue sticks or plenty of masking tape.

I chose to use the door with the glass panel as the front door instead of the Dutch door. Since both door openings are identical, you can choose whichever one you prefer for the entry. To make the upper half of the Dutch door movable, I used the chamois strip method. It won’t swing open, but it allows for a nice detail where you can either close it completely or leave it slightly ajar.
