The Willowcrest Dollhouse Day 3

Today, I continued working on constructing the dollhouse staircases. I began by gluing the risers and steps, ensuring that the risers were installed first. After allowing the first staircase to dry partially, I started assembling the second floor staircase, carefully positioning the bottom and top risers to create an even look. Once the first floor staircase was ready, I added the fourth trim and set it aside to dry.

I then proceeded to glue the foundation and walls together, finding the process straightforward. Using tacky and wood glue gave me flexibility in positioning the components.

Next, I stained both staircases and added runners. For the winding staircase, I used hot glue to secure the thick runners, carefully cutting and matching the pattern at each turn. The straight second floor staircase was simpler to complete.

I primed the first floor stairwell, painted the ceiling, and applied wallpaper to the side wall, which includes the diamond stair window. After letting everything dry overnight, I installed the staircase, leaving an extra runner edge for the second floor.
