The Washington 2.0 Dollhouse Day 2

Now that the shell is complete, I can start adding components. I'm skipping the roof assembly for now because the interior of the dollhouse needs to be finished before attaching the roof; otherwise, access to the attic will be blocked. I also need to complete the interior before adding the staircases.

For now, I will focus on the exterior and work on the interior later. If you plan to paint your dollhouse, it's best to paint all components before attaching them to the shell. Since I intend to leave the dollhouse in its natural wood state, I can continue assembling without stopping to paint.

The diamond lattice foundation consists of interlocking pieces. You don't need to glue them together, but you must glue them under the porch floor. Be sure to interlock the porch step side stringers before gluing the diamond lattice foundation piece in place, as these slots will be inaccessible later. Turn the dollhouse upside down and ensure that all porch floor slots are positioned behind the diamond lattice foundation pieces. The porch railing will fit into these slots, so you want to avoid having any tabs visible at the front of the foundation pieces. Clamp everything until dry.
