Shingling around the dormers on the large roof side proved challenging. I opted for a very light camel color stain for the shingles. For the large dormer roof panel, I recommend creating the template in sections rather than as one piece. After ensuring all sections fit correctly, use masking tape to assemble them before shingling the entire piece.
For the top roof edges of both the main roof and dormers, I used dowels, though L-shaped trim is also effective when placed directly over the edge. To conceal the dowel ends on the dormers, I applied diamond-shaped shingle punch-outs as finials. The main roof's dowel ends still require larger caps.
The shingling process significantly enhances the dollhouse's finished appearance. Once again, shingle templates proved invaluable, especially given this dollhouse's numerous intricate details.
