All of these pieces have to be finished before installation. They come pre assembled and pre cut.
Position the porch posts and railings at the same time, so that everything sits square and spaced correctly. The top of the posts go under the porch supports.
Using a piece of gingerbread to hold up the railings, will give you the right space underneath them. Make sure they meet at the corners.
Porch Trim
Here is the tricky part. The porch trim. This is a square dowel piece, which must be cut to size, so it fits correctly at the porch sides.
They are suppose to be the length of one side railing piece and a column, so butt those two together and cut the trim to size.
