The Pierce Dollhouse Day 5

Today, I focused on finishing the first and second floors. I glued the baseboards throughout the entire second floor and also added baseboards to the walls on the third floor. Additionally, I completed the installation of windows on the second and third floors and varnished both floors.

I started working on the tower by preparing the floor extensions before gluing them in place. I marked the floor planks and painted the ceiling edges white, then glued the extensions to the front wall.

While waiting for that to dry, I began assembling the tower roof. This part is tricky because it requires hot melt glue to hold the pieces together, as there are no tabs or slots for support. After tacking everything in place with hot melt glue, I applied wood glue to all the joints, including between the sides.

Next, I prepared the interior walls of the tower, which are accessible now but will not be once the outer walls are installed. I wallpapered these walls so they match the adjoining rooms when viewed through the tower windows. Finally, I glued on the remaining walls and will use skewers to seal any gaps between them.
