The roof panels must be finished before installation, even if you plan on only painting them. This is because the angles of the attic roof, once installed, will have inaccessible areas which would be difficult or impossible to finish afterwards.
This process can be complicated and very confusing, so remember to dry fit panels onto the dollhouse before you commit to your wallpaper. There might be mistakes, but they can always be fixed, so don't panic. You just have to know how each panel fits into the assembly, so you know what side is up and down and you don't accidentally place your wallpaper in the wrong direction. Use a pencil to mark the exterior of the panels as a reference guide.
You also need to be aware of where the eaves fall. If you make a mistake and accidentally a wallpaper the eaves, like I did on one of my left side panels shown in the second photo, you can always paint over the wallpaper once the roof is installed and you can identify the eave.
I cut out the chimney slot on the right side panel. This was unnecessary to do as that slot is accessed from the exterior of the panel, not the interior. I will have to patch the wallpaper there later in order to hide it. Keep that in mind, so you don't do the same thing.
The middle triangle piece is not visible from any angle, so you do not have to wallpaper it. Paint it only.
Put these panels to the side. They will not be installed yet because the tower must be finished before the roof can go up.
