Now that the dollhouse has only a few parts left, I have found all the handrails for the staircase. I have also completed the windows, so I can now install the staircase railings. They were easy to put in, but you should dry fit them several times to ensure you have the correct parts for each staircase. Do not glue them until you are sure they are right.
The edges of the attic dormer window openings were bothering me because they looked unfinished. Due to the steep slope of the mansard panels, I couldn't use wooden trim around the openings, as it would break easily. I considered using fabric but found a better solution. I decided to use quarter-scale shingle strips instead. These cardboard strips can be easily stained or painted to look like wood. I stained them and glued them around the window openings, making it appear as if there is wooden trim. Now I am finally satisfied with these window openings.
