Today, I painted and installed the front timber trim assembly. To secure the bottom part of the trim, use a combination of glue sticks, plastic clamps, and masking tape. Wrap masking tape around the windows and door opening for added strength. For the top part of the trim, you can use binder clips at the window openings. The plastic clamps and glue sticks mainly serve to weigh down the trim with pressure from the masking tape. They are ineffective without the tape since there are no surfaces to clamp to. Since this piece is under pressure, it’s best to let it dry for 24 hours before removing the clamps. Periodically check the clamps to ensure they haven't slipped or loosened.
