The Gloucester Dollhouse Day 14

I completed the front panel by first applying spackle to create a textured finish that resembles plaster. I mixed paint with spackle and brushed it onto the wall for added texture. Once the "plaster" dried, I painted over it with another coat.

For the door, I used fabric ribbon to create a trim and added paneling with the same thin ribbon used in the dressing room. I also attached a decorative flat bead in the center and installed a door handle.

I also assembled and installed the chimneys, which was quite simple as long as they were straight. The dollhouse includes two chimneys that give it a unique appearance.

I added lace trim to both sides of the front panel to help keep dust out and cover gaps caused by warping. While gluing the lace, I made sure to avoid the hinges and hook-and-eye areas.

This is the final staircase for the dollhouse, located in the bedroom. I managed to take more pictures of it this time. I finished this staircase similarly to the first one, using a different carpet fabric design and another type of trim for the handrails. I reused the same beads for the step rods. This staircase was even easier to install than the first; I glued on the back stairwell railing and added the same handrail trim, finishing it with rose finials.
