The Glencroft Dollhouse Day 7

Today, I continued working on the interior of the dollhouse. I completed the beadboard in the living room and trimmed the floors, ceilings, bay windows, staircase openings, regular windows, fireplaces, and the bookcase. I used horizontal trim on the bottoms of the bay windows and the bookcase to create a more interesting look. I also trimmed all the exposed edges at the back of the dollhouse. The trimming effectively concealed the uneven wallpaper edges and enhanced the wooden features of the interior. I touched up the stain inside to ensure an even finish and addressed any missed areas. I repaired the wallpaper where there were tears or issues that the trimming did not cover.

After lightly sanding, I applied a second coat of varnish to the floors. I painted the top of the chimney a clay terracotta color and touched up the stain and stucco on the outside. I added door knobs to the interior doors by gluing golden jewelry beads, which have a Byzantine design that complements the dollhouse. I filled all gaps on the outside roof with wood filler and touched up the stain around the edges of the shingles.
