The Fairfield Dollhouse Revisited Week 30

I finished the tower top using the same quarter scale shingles that I used to side it, but I painted them copper.

I also used the brackets that came with the dollhouse. A lot of people omit them when they add custom finishes, but I like keeping as much of the original design of the dollhouse as possible. The brackets do not interrupt the finishes in anyway.

Lay a piece of cardboard or other flat material on top of the tower, so you can align your brackets correctly and they don't end glued on too low or too high. That can make your turret lopsided, once placed on top.

I added thin trim to the top edges of the tower for a nice finished look. There is no need to keep the tabs for the turret, as it's fine if it just sits on top of the tower.
