The Fairfield Dollhouse Revisited Week 27

I covered the chimney with the same stone paper I used for the foundation and installed the attic windows. It's much easier to do this before putting on the roof. As with all dollhouses, a lot of sanding and filling gaps along the interior edges of the windows is necessary. I prefer to apply the exterior window trim first, then sand and fill the interior edges. After it dries and I touch up the paint, I install the interior window trim with the acetate pane already in place. Working in steps like this helps achieve a polished look.

You also need to prepare and finish the interior sides of the roof panels before installation, as access will be limited afterward. This is especially true for slanted attic walls and even more so in smaller spaces. I primed and wallpapered all the roof panels. In this L-shaped dollhouse, all panels will be visible from different angles inside, so they all need to be finished properly.
