The Fairfield Dollhouse Revisited Week 3

For the dollhouse foundation, I used stone-printed paper and primed the first floor in a dark brown to complement the planned flooring.

After installing the center wall, I encountered a challenge with the porch foundation's lattice. Finding miniature components has become increasingly difficult, with lattice being especially scarce and expensive, particularly in half scale. Determined to solve this problem, I decided to create my own lattice using strip wood. I first painted the porch foundation black to simulate a crawl space behind the lattice.

While crafting the lattice was intricate and time-consuming, and may not be perfectly to scale, I'm confident that once the dollhouse is fully assembled, any minor imperfections will blend seamlessly into the overall design.
