The Alison Jr Dollhouse Day 8

The instructions have not yet reached the partitions, but I decided to add mine at this stage. These need to be installed before you begin finishing the interior.

Some people prefer to move partitions around, as they do not need to be permanently fixed in your dollhouse. You can finish them separately, allowing for relocation to suit changes in decor. However, be aware that reinstalling them may damage finishes such as ceiling paper due to their snug fit. You can sand them slightly so that they fit securely without tipping over.

I personally prefer permanence in dollhouse construction, so I glued mine in place, applying glue only to the ceiling edge. This holds them securely, while the wallpaper adhesive provides additional reinforcement.

You are free to place the partitions wherever you like. They do not have to match my arrangement, which was based on the dollhouse’s interior photos. Your layout may differ depending on your decor, and you are not required to stack them directly above one another. Each floor can have its own unique floor plan.

The partitions are not structural components of the assembly. They are entirely optional, and you may choose to omit them if you prefer an open floor plan with more space.
