Today, I am going to assemble the dollhouse foundation.
I’m not sure why these kits always instruct you to build the foundation separately from the main structure, but for the sake of demonstration, I’ll follow the directions. By watching the process, you’ll see that it’s not necessary to wait and later place a heavy dollhouse shell on top of the foundation — you can build the dollhouse directly on it from the start.
First, locate the foundation parts using the provided measurements. This should be easy, as they are usually bundled together. Keep the structure as square as possible and use weights to clamp it in place until the glue dries. The small pegs in the corners will help ensure the foundation stays properly aligned.
