The Half Scale Diana Dollhouse Day 27

I've been working on this dollhouse for quite some time, and those who have followed my blog may have noticed how long it's taken. Usually, these projects don’t take this long, but half-scale dollhouses require more detail and effort, especially with the exterior finishes I chose.

Today, I completed the front wall siding up to the roof eaves. From here, I will switch from siding to shingles for the upper part of the wall.

With the lower section finished, I can start installing the porch trim. The side trim needs to go on first, as it will cover the rough edges of the siding. Take a look at the porch roof. I used black sandpaper to cover the flat areas. This sandpaper matches closely with the roof and foundation colors, providing a nicer finish than paint alone. I opted not to use shingles in this area since it is flat and not very visible. This sandpaper piece came with the kit.
