When preparing to install the roof panels, follow these key steps.
First, prime the interior of both roof panels and allow them to dry completely. For the back roof panel, avoid wallpapering since the interior space is narrow and partially divided between interior wall and exterior eaves. Instead, paint this area a complementary color - white works well if it matches your interior trim. This section will only be visible through attic windows, so covering the raw wood is important.
The front panel requires more detailed preparation. Dry fit the panel into the dollhouse and use a pencil to mark the locations of the eaves and the second floor partition wall. Since each side represents a different room, ensure your wallpaper patterns align correctly when applying them.
After wallpapering the walls and painting the eaves, you can proceed with roof installation. Use a rubber mallet to firmly seat the wall tabs into the roof slots, ensuring a tight fit along all seams. Temporarily clamp the panels with masking tape until the adhesive fully dries.
