The Cheltenham Dollhouse Day 6

Today I assembled the staircases. Make sure you look at the illustration carefully and dry fit the sides to the dollhouse, just to make sure you are assembling them correctly.

The back edges of the staircase sides are glued to the steps and risers. Do not glue them in between the staircase sides or your staircase will be too wide to fit into the stairwell.

If you are painting your staircase in dual colors, you must do it before assembly. I plan on painting mines all one color and then applying carpet so I was able to assemble all now and finish them later.

The staircases fit into the dollhouse without a problem after assembly but make sure you finish them before inserting them in place or you will not be able to access it easily.
