I assembled the dollhouse roof today. Initially, I wanted to hinge the front roof panel to create extra attic space, but this proved impractical. Adding a fourth floor using foam core would not create a usable room and would require removing the third floor partition, which would disrupt the roof's placement. Ultimately, I decided to leave the roof as it originally came.
The dollhouse included flooring trim, which I chose to utilize. I applied the trim to all flooring surfaces, though some pieces were missing. These can likely be replaced by purchasing matching wood strips from a local craft store after taking precise measurements.
Regarding the bottom floor's front edge, it is crucial to keep this area unobstructed for proper panel closure. While I initially considered covering it with shelf paper to match the flooring, I realized it should be painted to match the dollhouse's exterior, as this edge will be partially visible when the panels are closed. Currently, the dollhouse is positioned on its leg base but has not been permanently attached.
