I wallpapered the living room and kitchen of my dollhouse, encountering some challenges along the way. The living room's paneled wallpaper, while attractive, proved difficult to work with due to numerous window and door openings. I underestimated the amount of wallpaper needed for the bay area, leaving no extra for touch-ups.
The kitchen wallpapering was easier. For the kitchen floor, I used a Victorian tile pattern printed on copy paper. Installing it required careful patching to match the pattern seamlessly. I used tacky glue sparingly and applied gloss varnish for a shiny finish.
In the living room and foyer, I installed vinyl wood-look flooring in both light and dark colors for contrast. I created thresholds for the kitchen doorways and ensured the flooring continued seamlessly between rooms. The process required numerous touch-ups and careful work around baseboards, ceiling trim, and doorways. The Greenleaf Dollhouses vinyl flooring worked well with the tab-and-slot design, hiding small gaps and allowing for easy installation. As I progressed, the dollhouse began to take shape, though it required patience and frequent repositioning to reach all areas.
