Today, I started building the foundation of the dollhouse. The instructions are clear on how to proceed. I plan to cover the foundation with pebbles, but I can't do that yet because of the walls. I'm unsure how much of the foundation will be hidden by the bottom edges of the walls, so applying the pebbles now might prevent the walls from fitting properly. It's best to wait to add any finishes, even if it's just printed paper, since glue and paint can damage the paper during assembly.
I will use binder clips to keep the foundation pieces aligned.
