The Harrison Dollhouse Day 1

Today, I began preparing the dollhouse kit. Since I am unfamiliar with this particular model, I plan to carefully review the instructions and schematics to understand the build process and necessary preparations.

The trim sheets for the interior and exterior can be complex, as there are four separate sheets. I methodically checked that all sheets were present and then labeled their numbers with a black marker. Using the schematics as a guide, I marked each part with a pencil while they remained on their original sheets. Labeling requires careful attention. This dollhouse has numerous intricate parts, and it's easy to accidentally misplace or discard a crucial piece.

I removed the window sheet and stored it in a safe location. For those new to dollhouse assembly, I recommend keeping parts on their original sheets until needed. This approach can help minimize confusion. As you gain experience with multiple dollhouse models, you'll become more familiar with recurring components like chimneys.

I also prepared the kit's packaging by cutting the box with a box cutter. I'm using the bottom of the box as a convenient turntable during assembly and have cut out the dollhouse pictures from the box top, which can serve as a helpful reference during construction.
