I finally received the trim I had been waiting for in the mail. I painted it white and glued it around the bottom edge of the dollhouse, giving it a nice “skirted” look. This trim breaks up the line of the dollhouse, making it appear shorter, even though the legs make it tall.
Consider visiting your local hardware store to buy felt pads for the bottoms of the legs. These pads help the dollhouse glide easily on the floor when you need to move it. Make sure to choose felt pads that are large enough to cover the entire bottom of the legs; smaller pads can make the dollhouse wobbly. Felt pads work best on hard floors, while glide pads are better for carpet. I also did some touch-ups on both the interior and exterior.
Always use wall anchors for this type of dollhouse, especially if it is for a child, as it can tip over.
