The second-floor staircase presents unique construction challenges despite being smaller than the first. Its primary difficulty lies in its lack of structural self-support, which requires careful positioning and assembly. When building this staircase, strict adherence to the instructions is crucial. The staircase must wind to the right, and following the provided pictures precisely is essential for successful assembly.
After assembling the staircase, I primed and wallpapered it, focusing on the visible sides. Only one side requires wallpapering, as the other side will be against a wall. Flat surfaces do not need finishing. Given the potential visibility of the staircase's underside, I chose to wallpaper it preemptively. The staircase is located in a stairwell hidden from the dollhouse's backside and will be viewable only through the removable bay or windows.
I added post caps and trim similar to the previous staircase, leaving the top posts for later. However, I'm currently missing two post caps and may need to create replacements if I cannot locate them.
